AI in manufacturing CPQ is not a substitute for a product model. Useful applications, when they exist, include requirements capture, recommendations, configuration analytics, quote text and assistance with model maintenance.
Natural-language configuration still has to land in a valid, constrained product state. This section stays secondary to rules, BOM, CAD and integrations.
