Some manufacturing CPQ implementations drive engineering work: calculations during configuration, 3D visualization, parametric CAD, drawings and design automation. Visualization is not the same as CAD generation. Neither is universal.
This section will separate preview, validation, calculation and production geometry — and where PDM/PLM still owns the engineering record.
